PARIS 2007 STATE-OF-THE-ART ANALYTICAL AND IMAGING TECHNIQUES IN PETROLOGY  Program: The School consists of 8 days of lectures and integrated practical sessions (Sat 20 - Sat 27); a poster session is planned to enable the participants to present and discuss their own research. The School includes visits to TEM, SEM, Raman and microprobes laboratories, to the nanoSIMS of the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle of Paris, the SOLEIL synchrotron and the CAMECA company. Topics covered in the Seminar includes: SEM, Electron Back-Scattered Diffraction, TEM, Raman spectroscopy, electron and proton microprobes, synchrotron (SXRF, XAS, STXM), ion microprobes (SIMS and nanoSIMS), laser ablation ICP-MS and micro-imaging.
